Obituary for Michael S. Madsen
HOLLIS, NH - Michael S. Madsen husband of Barbara M. (Curran) Madsen died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Brighton after a brief illness.
He was born in Cambridge, January 7, 1948, a son of the late Marshall and Mary (Shea) Madsen and was a 25 year Billerica resident prior to moving to Hollis, NH in 2002.
Mr. Madsen was a graduate of Somerville High School and was a member of the last graduating class of the former Boston State College, now UMass Boston. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War and was a salesman in the Boston office of Stanley Black and Decker for 34 years. He was an avid sports fan of all Boston sports teams and a lifelong runner. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Besides his wife he is survived by one son, Barry Madsen and his wife Kerry of Chelmsford; one daughter, Kerry Cowell and her husband Scott of Chelmsford; one brother, Mark Madsen of Boston; two sisters Marsha Madsen of CA and Mary Madsen of Medford; four grandchildren, Andrew and Julie Madsen, Nathan and Matthew Cowell, as well as many friends.

Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
