Obituary for Michael "Poppy" B. Rossi
Michael “Poppy” B. Rossi – Age 85, husband of the late Carolyn J. (Smith) Rossi died Sunday, 9/4 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in Cambridge, December 6, 1930 and was raised by his late “Ma” Christina Stankoriska and lived in Cambridge and Medford before moving to Billerica in 2003.
Poppy proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a former demolition’s instructor at West Point. He was very active in the Boy Scouts in Cambridge for 30 years.
He worked in the Shipping and Receiving Department at Northeastern Distributors in Cambridge for 30 years and later worked at Hunt Camera.
Poppy is survived by his daughter, Carol Davis and her husband Mike of Billerica; his son, Michael F. Rossi and his wife Andrea of N. Grafton and his grandchildren, Lindsey Allosso, Jamie Davis and Elizabeth Rossi.

Rossi, Funeral Thursday, 9/8 from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9:45 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
