Michael P. Mokeler – age 51, died peacefully Wednesday, July 30 at the Lahey Hospital with his friends at his side.
He was born in Melrose, October 21, 1973, a son of the late William F. and Dorothy M. (Robinson) Mokeler and was raised in Melrose and moved to Nashua in 2018.
Mike was employed as a Manager at O’Connor Hardware in Billerica for 24 years where he made many close friends. He was a true lover of the outdoors and found joy and peace in nature. An avid marksman and firearms enthusiast, he approached the hobby with care, knowledge, and an appreciation for its traditions. He took great satisfaction in prepping, finding comfort in being ready for anything. A talented cook and adventurous eater, Mike brought people together with food. Whether trying a new recipe or exploring different cuisines, he believed that good meals and good company were some of life’s greatest joys. He will be remembered for his generous heart, sharp wit, and unwavering love for family and friends. He lived life fully, on his own terms, and leaves behind countless memories and stories that will live on in those who knew and loved him.
