Michael J. Finn – Age 84, husband of the late Carol R. (Ehemann) Finn died peacefully Friday, February 17 at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading with his family by his side.
He was born in Schenectady, NY, July 8, 1938, a son of the late William H. and Eva B. (Chlopecki) Finn and was raised in Scotia, NY and moved to Billerica 58 years ago. Michael proudly served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
Michael graduated from Siena College and was employed as a Manager of Information Systems for the former D.C. Heath Publishing Company, a division of Raytheon, for over 30 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of St. Theresa’s Church in Billerica. He was an avid golfer having played in the Raytheon golf league and was his league flight champion multiple times. “Down the Middle” Mike enjoyed playing at Green Meadow Golf Club in retirement. Michael was a former Little League Coach in Billerica.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl Arsenault and her husband James of Newton, Kathleen Souza and her husband Douglas of Westford, Michael Finn of Freedom, NH and Daniel Finn and his wife Suzanne of Scottsdale, AZ; his brother, William Finn of the Villages, FL; his sister, Sheila Finn Martire of Washington, DC; his grandchildren, Nathan, Nicole, Heather, Shannon, David and John and his great grandchildren, Alanna and Baylee. He was predeceased by his brothers John Finn and Martin Finn.
A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Burial with military honors will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
