Obituary for Michael A. Giuggio Jr.
Michael A. Giuggio Jr., 78, a long time resident of Billerica, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, July 30. He was the husband of the late Joan (Squadrito) Giuggio who passed away in August of 2021.
He was born in Boston on October 15, 1943 the son of the late Michael and Barbara (Tortorici) Giuggio.
Mr. Giuggio was educated in the Everett school system and graduated from Everett High School. He was employed for many years as an automotive mechanic at various automotive garages and most recently at Andy’s Auto in Lynn.
He was a meticulous landscaper and kept his home spotless, inside and out. He enjoyed hockey, both playing and coaching, and was lucky enough to be able to coach his daughter, son, and his grandchildren.
Mr. Giuggio was predeceased by his sister, Angela Hartnett who passed away in 2017.
He is survived by his children; Dina Hughes and her significant other Bob Doherty of Lowell, and Michael Giuggio III of Land O’ Lakes, Fl., three grandchildren; Robert, Monica, and Ryan Hughes, four, soon to be five, great grandchildren; Luca and Aria Santarpio and Vincent and Lani Hughes as well as several nieces and nephews.
