Obituary for Michael W. Mead

Michael W. Mead – Age 75, beloved husband of Patricia A. (Bourque) Mead died Thursday at the Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus.

He was born in Brighton, September 27, 1942, a son of the late Warren and Lillian (Crimlisk) Mead and lived in the Reedville section of Boston before moving to Billerica 55 years ago.

Mr. Mead was employed in the Maintenance Department for the MBTA for 25 years prior to his retirement. He was a member of Local #589, the Billerica Knights of Columbus and was an avid bowler at the Brunswick Bowling Alley in Lowell. Mr. Mead was an active communicant of St. Andrew Church where he was a Senior Alter Server.

Besides his wife, Mr. Mead is survived by his son, Matthew Mead and his wife Tanya of Lowell; his daughters, Laurie Mead of Billerica, Gayle Parris and her husband Mel of Pepperell and Shannon Walters of Billerica; his brothers, Warren Mead of Walpole and Gerard Mead of Bellingham; his sister, Susan Crane of CA and is also survived by four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Paul and Joseph Mead.

MEAD – Of Billerica, June 7, Michael W. Mead, Funeral Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Andrew Scholarship Fund, 45 Talbot Ave., N. Billerica, MA 01862.
