Obituary for Michael F. Costello Jr.
Michael F. Costello Jr. – Age 73, beloved husband of Laura A. (Francalancia) Costello died peacefully Sunday at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Somerville, November 26, 1947, a son of the late Michael F. and Josephine A. (Junta) Costello and was raised in Charlestown and moved to Billerica 46 years ago. Mike proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Mike was the Owner of Affordable PC’s in Billerica from 1995 until his illness. He was an avid baseball fan having traveled to many different ballparks in the country. The family would like to thank Dr. Niemierko and Nurse Sandy at the Lahey Hospital for all the care they gave Mike.
Besides his wife, Mike is survived by his daughters, Michelle Costello-Pucillo and her husband John of Billerica and Julie Costello of Tewksbury and her significant other, Eric Hersch; his brother, Joseph Costello of Billerica; his sisters, Marie Lynde of Billerica and Margaret MacIntosh and her husband Stephen also of Billerica and his grandchildren, Talia, Tessa, Téa and Tatiana Pucillo.
Mike’s funeral will be held Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make a Wish Foundation, www.wish.org/massri Burial with military honors will be held at Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
