Obituary for Maurice "Skip" A. Roy Jr.
Maurice “Skip” A. Roy Jr. – Age 67, died peacefully Monday, Dec. 6 at Bear Mountain at Reading with his family at his side.
He was born in Lowell, February 21, 1954, a son of the late Maurice A. and Virginia M. (Belanger) Roy and lived in Billerica for all of his life.
Skip was truck driver and a skilled mechanic, having worked for Roy Brothers Transportation and as an owner/operator for many years.
He is survived by his daughter, Lindsey Roy of Billerica; his sons, Maurice Roy III, Nick Roy and his wife Jessica and Michael Roy all of Billerica, and their mother, Christine Roy; his brothers, Dana Roy of Freedom, NH and Timothy Roy of Billerica; his sister, Ellen Ryan of Chelmsford and his grandchildren, Alyssa and Mackenzie Roy.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 16 at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12 noon. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org
