Obituary for Mary P. "Patsy" Egan
Mary Patricia Egan, RN age 83 died unexpectedly Monday July 12th at her home in Lowell.
She was born in Ayer on April 30, 1938 the daughter of the late William F. and Marion V. (McGuane) Egan.
Mary graduated from Billerica Memorial High School and furthered her education receiving her RN from Catherine Laboure School of Nursing.
She was employed as an RN at Boston City Hospital, Fernald State Hospital in Waltham, Lowell General Hospital - Saint's Campus and rounded out her career at Tewksbury State Hospital.
Patsy is survived by her sisters Barbara A. O'Toole of Billerica and Jane E. Davis of Dracut. Two brothers, William F. Egan Jr. (Liz) of Billerica and James M. Egan (Lance) of Dracut as well as her sister Bridget's fiancé Charley Wilson of Billerica. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Patsy was the sister of the late Kathleen Bridget Egan and sister-in-law of the late Warren Sluggo Davis.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at St. Mary's Cemetery, Bishop Rd, Ayer at 11:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Massachusetts' Commission for the Blind, MCB Chief Financial Officer, 600 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02111 or a charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Fall for both Patsy and her sister Bridget.
