Mary M. Peterson – Age 80, wife of the late Edward D. Peterson Jr. died peacefully Friday, January 5 at the Lawrence General Hospital.
She was born in Cambridge, August 26, 1943, a daughter of the late Henry and the late Kathleen M. (O’Brien) McNabb and was raised in Somerville before moving to Billerica in 1977.
Mary was employed at the Johnson O’Hare Company in Billerica for 20 years prior to her retirement.
She is survived her daughters, Julie Hunt and her husband Matthew of Milton-Freewater, Oregon and Lynn Boornazian and her husband Aram of Townsend; her son, Edward Peterson III and his wife Sherrie of Plaistow, NH; her brother, Henry McNabb of Somerville and James McNabb of Medford; her sister, Kathleen Leedham of Billerica and is also survived by her seven grandchildren and her three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John and Francis McNabb and Sheila Pino.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Jan. 9 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org Her burial will take place at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
