Mary M. Donovan, 93, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Murphy) Donovan grew up in Somerville but was a longtime resident of Watertown.
Mary was employed for over 60 years in the hotel business. She retired at 85 years old from the Sheraton Commander Hotel in Cambridge. Mary had a love of traveling and collected bells where she traveled.
Mary was the beloved sister of Joan. F. DiOrio of Billerica. She leaves her niece Deidre (DiOrio) Sevigny and her husband Steven of Fort Leavenworth, KS. She will be greatly missed by her great-nephews Miles, Beckett and Holden and great-niece Clarice Sevigny. She was sister of the late Rita A. Donovan.
A visitation will be held Saturday, October 18 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 10-11 a.m. A graveside service will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery, 175 Broadway, Malden at 12 noon. In lieu of flowers if you wish to make a donation please make it to the charity of your choice.
