Obituary for Mary M. Bellegarde
CHELMSFORD – Mary M. (Barretto) age 80, died on Christmas Day with her family at her side. Mary resided in the home she and her late husband Joseph built and lived in for over 60 years.
Mary was a Graduate of Howe High School in Billerica and graduated Suma Cum Laude from the University of Lowell with a BS in Business Administration and worked for Purity Supreme and was a Purchasing Agent for Digital Equipment Corp.
She enjoyed traveling in Europe with her family and was loved by family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Mary was the loving wife of the late Joseph R. Bellegarde and daughter of the late John M. and Emma Barretto.
Mary is survived by her children, Ralph Bellegarde and his wife Maureen of Bellingham, John Bellegarde of Hudson, NH, Cheryl Laundry and her husband Thomas of Chelmsford and Mary Smith and her husband Stephen of Hollis, NH; her grandchildren, Brian Laundry, Lisa Miscia and her husband Jason, Meaghan Drennen and her husband Patrick, Alex Bellegarde, Paul Smith and Kasey Bellegarde; her great-grandchildren, Phoebe and Zoe Miscia. She was the sister of John Barretto of Billerica and Gloria Rosa of Woburn, Aunt of Daniel Rosa and his wife Anita, Pamela Aprile, and Dawn Cugno. Also survived by her extended family William Bellegarde, Jeanine Dubuque and Josephine Kiley. She was the sister-in-law of the late Daniel Rosa and Kathe Barrretto.
BELLEGARDE – Of Chelmsford, Dec. 25, Mary M. (Barretto) Bellegarde. Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd. Billerica at 11 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Andrew’s Church, Billerica at 12:05 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mary’s name to the Lowell General Cancer Center. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
