Mary L. ‘Mary Lou’ (Paolillo) Chebook, age 83, died Monday, November 11th at her home with family by her side.
Born in Cambridge on March 27, 1941, Mary Lou was the daughter of the late Sergio J. and Vincenza I. (D’Onofrio) Paolillo. Mary Lou’s early years were spent in Cambridge and Sommerville. In the early eighties, she and her husband moved their family to Billerica, where she worked for Memtek, that later became US Filter. After retiring she devoted her time to volunteering at her grandson Samuel’s school in various capacities. She also volunteered at the Billerica Public Library, where she worked on historical projects for many years. She loved the work she did with the library and the wonderful friends she made there.
Mary Lou is lovingly survived by her children, Deborah McNeil, and her husband Nick of Allenstown NH, Rob Chebook and his wife Kelly of Manchester NH, Michelle Bradford and her husband Michael of Medway ME, Kristen Chebook and her son Samuel of Billerica whom she resided with, and Rebecca Poirier and her husband Stephen of Billerica; her brother, Leonard Paolillo and his wife Karen of Spring Hill FL. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was predeceased by her husband, Robert D. Chebook Sr.
Visiting Hours will be held Friday November 15th, at Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held Saturday November 16th at Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12:30 p.m.
