Mary D. O’Boyle passed away peacefully on Friday, May 23rd, 2025 at the age of 83, surrounded by her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth and kindness.
Mary was born on May 8th, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late Alfredo and Mary Luongo and was raised in East Boston. She was the wife of the late William O. O’Boyle. After getting married she moved to Billerica, Massachusetts where she raised her children and then moved to West Palm Beach, Florida with her husband.
She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses—William O’Boyle and his wife Jaquelyn, Colleen Hanson and her husband Sande, James (Butch) O’Boyle and his wife Heather, Patricia Costos and her husband William, Michelle O’Hagan and her husband Scott, her brother, Alfred Luongo and his wife, Lynette. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren and her 23 great-grandchildren, and was expecting her 24th great grandchild. She was also adored by her many nieces and nephews as well. Mary lived a life full of love, joy, and cherished memories and will be missed greatly.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 30th, 2025 at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd. Billerica, MA. at 12 noon. Flowers can be accepted by Thursday May 29th, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd. Billerica, MA.
