Obituary for Martin Keoughan
Martin "Marty" Keoughan, age 66, died unexpectedly Nov. 11, 2009 in Cherry Hill, NJ.
He was born in Oakland, CA, January 12, 1943 the son of the late John E. and Mary (McGinness) Keoughan. He was a BMHS graduate, U of M Graduate and was a longtime Billerica resident before moving to Cherry Hill, NJ.
Mr. Keoughan served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, was a self employed Property Manager/Landlord of multiple properties in New Jersey and was an active member of St. Mary's Parish in Cherry Hill, where he was a member of the choir, a Motivational Speaker to the Parish Pastoral Council, taught religious education, member of the parish book club and Elected Guard of the Knights of Columbus. He started a singles club, LibLib, which became Connections, was very active organizing canoeing, hiking, and travel clubs as well as being an active participant. He was a master in all forms of recreational dance which he taught as well.
He is survived by three sisters, Bernice McQuaid and her husband David, Kathy LaFreniere and Stacy Greeniere and her husband Richard as well as his aunt, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many beloved friends. He was also the brother-in-law of the late Bud LaFreniere
KEOUGHAN - Of Cherry Hill, NJ, unexpectedly Nov. 11, Martin "Marty" Keoughan. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday at St. Theresa Church, 1 Grace Ave., Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
