Marlene L. Guilmette, age 72, died Saturday, September 30 at the Spaulding Hospital in Cambridge with her family at her side.
She was born in Laconia, NH, January 28, 1951, a daughter of the late George N. and Alicia V. (Valliere) Guilmette and was raised in Saugus before moving to New Jersey for many years and moved to Tewksbury in 1992.
Marlene worked as a Job Foreman for the Landmark Company while living in New Jersey.
Marlene is survived by her cherished sister Jarna Saggese and her husband Robert of Billerica; her adored niece, Tasha Scaplen and her husband Stephen of Wilmington and her loving nephew, Todd Saggese and his wife Jennifer of Reading. Her precious grandnephews Colby, Caidan, Ty, Kai and Trey were much loved and treasured by their “Auntie Lene”. She leaves Windy, her fur baby and sidekick who was her constant companion.
Marlene enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and the Hallmark Channel, especially the Christmas movies. But her greatest love was her family. She gave of herself selflessly despite her many health issues.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, Oct. 9 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Her burial will take place at the Bayside Cemetery, 1345 Union Ave., Laconia at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Marlene’s name to the Spinal Cord Injury Boston at SCI Boston, 2 Rehabilitation Way, Woburn, MA 01801 or sciboston.org
