Obituary for Marjorie E. Murchie
Marjorie E. (Gullage) Murchie, age 94, beloved wife of the late Glennice E. Murchie died Sunday July 31, at the Murrieta Heal and Rehab Center in Murrieta, CA after a period of declining health.
She was born in Somerville, MA August 1, 1927 a daughter of the late Joseph B. and Doris (Upton) Gullage and lived in Lexington, MA for many years before moving to Temecula, CA in 1999.
Marjorie loved traveling, especially cruises, as well as going to the casinos and concerts and will be remembered for her love of a good pizza which she continued to enjoy until her passing.
She is survived by one daughter, Glenda McIver and her husband Steve of Temecula, CA; three sons, Glen Murchie and his wife Sheree of FL, Gary Murchie and his wife Debbie of Lowell and James Murchie and his wife Karen of Groton; one sister Joan Spencer of ME; her daughter-in-law Carol Murchie of Meredith, NH as well as eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late John Murchie and sister of the late Ronnie Gullage, Doris Partridge, William Gullage, Barbara Cunningham, Joseph Gullage and Charles Gullage.
A visitation will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, MA from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow in the Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Burlington.
