Obituary for Marjorie A. Peterson

Marjorie A. Peterson – Age 85, wife of the late Edward C. Peterson died peacefully Monday, December 12 at the Academy Manor in Andover surrounded by her loving family.


She was born in Boston, September 16, 1937, a daughter of the late James and Marjorie (Hurley) Desmond and lived in Charlestown and Somerville before moving to Billerica in 1976.


Marjorie is survived by her children, Stephen Peterson and his wife Lynne Simmons-Peterson of Westford; Edward M Peterson and his wife Amy of Billerica; Donna Williams and her husband Gary of Billerica; Paula Ninteau and her husband Jeff of Dracut, and her beloved nine grandchildren Randy, Ryan, Riley, Kasey, Michael, Emily, Alyssa, Edward, Thomas, and her great granddaughter Mackenzie; Marjorie also leaves behind her brothers, Robert Desmond of Billerica, Stephen Desmond of Chelmsford, Donald Desmond of West Bridgewater; her sister, Janet Black of Charlestown, and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James, William, Richard and Patricia Desmond.


A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Dec. 17 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Andrew Church, Talbot Ave., N. Billerica at 10 a.m. Burial will take place at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org
