It is with great sadness that the family of Marjorie A. (Puffer) Collins announces her passing on Sunday, April 27, 2025 at the great age of 95.
Marge (Mom/Nana/NanaNana) was born in Boston on November 27, 1929 to Chester & Harriet Puffer. She was raised in Medford and graduated from Medford High School, class of 1946
On August 16, 1952 she married her one true love, Ken. They moved to Billerica in 1954 where they raised 5 children in the home they lovingly built together.
Marge is predeceased by her parents, Chet & Harriet Puffer, her beloved husband, Ken (a former Billerica Police Officer), her sister Inez Perry, brother Chet Puffer Jr., her two eldest sons, Kevin & Rick, and a close nephew, Chet Puffer III. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy, her son, Bob and wife, Christine, daughter, Dee and husband David Hunt, Daughters in Law Dorsey Collins and Jan Collins. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kelly Burns, Katie Delay, Ken Collins, Jim Collins, Leah Perrydore, Chrystal Begay, Peter Collins, Mitchell Collins, Zev Colson, Jon Collins, Jeff Muhl, Kevin Muhl & Devon Roma and their partners. She had 17 great grandchildren.
Marge was a Teacher’s Aid for the Town of Billerica Kindergarten from 1973 to 1978 – a job she loved. She has been an active member of the Billerica Emblem Club #410 for many years. Marge greatly enjoyed time spent with her family, her Emblem Club Sisters, bowling, bingo and going to the casinos.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 30th from 4PM to 7PM at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home located at 66 Concord Road, Billerica, MA. A brief memorial will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 1st at 12 noon, immediately followed by internment at Fox Hill Cemetery on Andover Road, Billerica.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Billerica Emblem Club, 476 Boston Rd, #308, Billerica, MA 01821
