Obituary for Mario V. Pagano
Mario “Mac” V. Pagano, Age 77, of Billerica, MA formerly of Cranston, RI died Friday, December 25 with his long time and loving companion Diane at his side.
Mario was born in Providence RI on August 29, 1943 a son of the late Arthur and Frances (Ciancola) Pagano. He lived in Cranston, RI for many years and then in Billerica, MA for the last 22 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a military police officer with the 115th Army National Guard Company out of Rhode Island..
He was employed in the automobile industry for over 30 years as a Finance Manager for many auto dealerships in the Boston area.
Mac is survived by his companion Diane Fogg of Billerica, MA, his daughter, Deborah Morry and her husband Keith of Attleboro, MA; his son, David Pagano and his wife Robin also of Attleboro, MA; Diane’s son, Mark Capobianco and his wife Jessica of Chelmsford, MA; his brothers, Arthur, John and Anthony Pagano all of Cranston, RI. He is also survived by his six grandchildren that he loved very much, Amanda, Drew, Ryan, Jonathan, Jack and Max.
Mario was a gifted athlete during his younger years playing basketball, baseball and football. Excelling in baseball, Mac was drafted out of Cranston East High School in 1961 by the Boston Red Sox where he rose through the ranks with such players like Tony Conigliaro and George Scott. One of Mario’s favorite hobbies was watching his grandchildren competing in their sports. A typical weekend was spent at a ball field, a gym or enjoying his family and friends during a backyard or family cook out.
Due to COVID-19 concerns, there will be no funeral services. The Funeral Mass will be private. A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2021 during a more traditional time for the Pagano family and friends to gather.
