Marilyn R. Coffey – Age 80, beloved wife of Jeremiah “Jerry” L. Coffey Jr. died Wednesday, August 16 at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington.
She was born in Medford, November 27, 1942, a daughter of the late Anthony and Ruth (Silva) Morgan and resided in Somerville for many years before moving to Tewksbury and then to Billerica 14 years ago.
Prior to the retirement, Marilyn was employed as a Sales Associate for Sears in Cambridge.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Jackie Malcolm and her husband Jim of Tewksbury; her sons, Greg Coffey and his wife Excelle of Billerica and Daniel Coffey and his wife Kristin of Richmond, VA and her grandchildren, Jimmy, Caitlyn, Melanie and John.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1-4 p.m. Funeral Monday from the funeral home starting at 10 a.m., a graveside service will be held at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mt. Auburn St., Cambridge at 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
