Obituary for Marilyn A. McCaffrey
Marilyn A. McCaffrey – Age 79, beloved wife of Arthur “Bud” F. McCaffrey died Saturday at the Lowell General Hospital. She was born in Arlington, April 13, 1934, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (McCarthy) Ford and lived in Medford and Arlington before moving to Billerica. Mrs. McCaffrey was employed by the Town of Billerica at the Water Department for 15 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Golden Ages in Billerica and was the Secretary for many years. Along with her husband, Mrs. McCaffrey enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. Besides her husband, Mrs. McCaffrey is survived by her daughter, Bev Silva and her husband Joe of Billerica, Joseph McCaffrey and his wife Linda of Wakefield and is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephew, two grandchildren and family and friends. She was the mother of the late Franklin McCaffrey. McCaffrey – Of Billerica, May 11, Marilyn A. (Ford) McCaffrey. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 3-6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made to the Billerica Food Pantry, 365 Boston Rd., Billerica, MA 01821. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
