Obituary for Marie T. Diamont
MARIE T. DIAMONT Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister Billerica – Marie T. (Buckley) Diamont – Age 87, wife of the late Albert T. Diamont died Tuesday at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading surrounded by her family. She was born in Boston, October 23, 1927, a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Manning) Buckley and moved to Billerica 51 years ago. Mrs. Diamont loved spending time with her family, attending her grandchildren’s dance recitals, baseball and hockey games. She made family gatherings and holidays special and enjoyed summers in Oakham and weekends away with her sisters and nieces. She was an active member of the Billerica Senior Center where she enjoyed many trips and activities. Mrs. Diamont is survived by her daughter, Susan Roy and her husband David of Shrewsbury; her sons, Albert Diamont Jr. of Billerica and his companion Diane Woodfin, Peter Diamont and his wife Karen of Billerica and Chris Diamont and his wife Kathy of Billerica; her sisters, Eleanor Joseph of FL, Claire O’Neil of Norwood and Patricia Kronmiller and Maureen Sutherland of Rockland, six grandchildren, Philip, Ashley, Zack and Ally Diamont and Aaron and Kevin Roy; one great granddaughter, Sydney Roy. She was the mother of the late Nancy Diamont. DIAMONT – Of Billerica, March 17, Marie T. (Buckley) Diamont, Funeral Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sawtelle Family Hospice House, Development Office, VNA Middlesex –East, 607 North Ave., Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880.
