Obituary for Marie G. Melendy
BILLERICA – Marie G. (Roach) Melendy, age 74, beloved wife of Donald A. Melendy died unexpectedly Monday at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. She was born in Medford, April 28, 1939 a daughter of the late George and Marie (Loncich) Roach and lived in Medford before moving to Billerica when she was 12. Mrs. Melendy worked as an embroiderer for New England Embroidery, was a Registered Nurses Technician and a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks Emblem Club. Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Tom Melendy and his wife Dawn of Billerica and Mike Melendy and his wife Chrissie of Indialantic, FL; one daughter, Diane Milliken and her husband Rick of Nashua, NH; three brothers, Artie Roach of Westford, Tom Roach of Billerica and Richard Roach of GA; one sister Hertha Foresteire of Medford as well as five grandchildren, Ryan, Kirk and Casey Milliken and Tiffany and Trevor Melendy. MELENDY – Of Billerica, formerly of Medford, unexpectedly March 10, Marie G. (Roach) Melendy. Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 29 Crafts St., Newton, MA 02458 Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
