Obituary for Marie P. Turner

Marie P. Turner, age 96, longtime resident of Billerica, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Waltham on September 8, 1925 to Hubert and Mary LeBlanc. Marie was the wife of the late Joseph Turner. They moved to Billerica in 1949, where they raised their family. Marie worked as an Office Manager, retiring from Brooks Associates. She was a member of St Mary’s Church, Billerica Firefighters Wives, Ditson School PTA and The COA of Billerica. Marie was a Girl Scout Leader and a Camp Counselor during the 1960s.

Marie left behind her children, Robbi Ploegmakers of Largo FL, Joe Turner and his wife Ginny, Ginny MacAulay and her husband Dave and Tim Turner all of Billerica. Her grandchildren, Bill Gamble and his wife Cherie, Joey Turner and his wife Angeline, Melissa Turner, Tim Turner, Jacob Ploegmakers, Morgan Tripodi and her husband Michael and Dawn Zapps, 8 great grandchildren, a great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews.

Marie was predeceased by her sisters, Estelle Carney and Vilma Kadish and her brother Hubert LeBlanc Jr.

A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 14 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Her burial will take place at the Fox Hill Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marie’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org
