FREITAS – Of Billerica, formerly of Somerville, Nov. 25, Maria S. (Bettencourt) Freitas wife of the late Joao M. Freitas. Loving mother of Paulo Freitas and his wife Laurie of Stoneham, Connie Marchany and her husband Lou and Luci Celona and her husband Jay of Billerica and Filomena Melo and her husband Aldevino of Fitchburg. Daughter of Alzira Bettencourt of Somerville and the late Mateus Bettencourt. Sister of Alzira Mitchell of FL, Rosalina Machado of Wilmington and Georgina Mendes of Somerville. Grandmother of Nicholas and Isabella Freitas, Michelle Muccini, Matthew and Adam Marchany, Christine Asack, Nicole and Amanda Melo and Megan and Jessica Celona. Also survived by three great grandchildren. Funeral Monday from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 2 – 6 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115. Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
