Obituary for Marguerite G. Delaney
Marguerite G. Delaney - Age 80, wife of the late William "Sonny" J. Delaney died Tuesday at the D'Youville Senior Center in Lowell.
She was born in Boston, March 20, 1930 the daughter of the late Alphonsus Hogan and Mary (McDonald)(Hogan) Pieroni and step-daughter of the late Francis Pieroni and lived in Somerville before moving to Billerica 53 years ago.
Mrs. Delaney was employed as a Technician at GTE for over 30 years prior to her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Andrew's Church and was a member of the church Bowling League and Choir.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen McFadden of Dunstable; her sons, William Delaney of Lexington, Stephen Delaney of Dracut and John Delaney of Hudson, NH; her sisters, Dorothy Connolly of Somerville and Shirley Umano of Plymouth. Mrs. Delaney is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John Hogan.
DELANEY - Of Billerica, Sept. 21, Marguerite G. (Hogan) Delaney. Funeral Saturday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew's Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
