Obituary for Margaret M. Major
BILLERICA Margaret M. (Campbell) Major, age 67, wife of Arthur Major died Sunday at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley.
She was born in Cambridge on August 31, 1943 a daughter of the late Francis John Campbell and Catherine (Lynch) Campbell and was a resident of Arlington prior to moving to Billerica 41 years ago.
Margaret was a graduate of Arlington High School where she was active in sports. After high school she attended Boston College where she got her masters degree in nursing and became a nurse at Boston Floating Hospital, where she later taught pediatric nursing.
She was also active at St. Theresa Church in Billerica where she was the former president of CCD and a Eucharistic Minister.
She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her family and they will miss her dearly.
Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Christopher Major of Londonderry, NH; one daughter, Mary Stenquist of Billerica; one brother, Francis Campbell of Milton; one sister Catherine Bowman of Sweeney, TX as well as five grandchildren.
MAJOR Of Billerica, formerly of Arlington, Sept. 26, Margaret M. (Campbell) Major. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. It being her wish there will be no visiting hours.
