Obituary for Margaret F. Nuttall

CHELMSFORD –Age 85, Margaret F. (Glavine) Nuttall, beloved wife of the late J. David Nuttall died Thursday at the Sawtelle Family Hospice house after a brief illness. She was born in Somerville, Sept 12, 1929 a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Bridget “Barbara”(Galway) Glavine and lived in Chelmsford for many years before moving to Centerville and most recently back to Chelmsford four years ago. Mrs. Nuttall was a concierge for the Sheraton Tara in Hyannis, volunteered in the gift shop at Cape Cod Hospital and at the local elementary school reading programs. She was the founder of the former Chelmsford Nursery for Exceptional Children and was an avid gardener and Red Sox fan. Mrs. Nuttall is survived by three sons, John David Nuttall Jr. of Bedford, NH, Thomas Nuttall and his wife Penny of Plymouth, and James M. Nuttall and his wife Sandra of Hudson, NH; one daughter, Linda M. Lewis and her husband Jack of Chelmsford; two brothers, John Glavin and his wife Betty and Fred Glavine and his wife Mildred both of Billerica; 10 grandchildren, Brittany and J. D. Nuttall, Philip and Meaghan Heffernan, Daniel and Jacquie Lewis and Carly, Kristen, Jessica and Stacie Nuttall; one sister-in-law Mary Glavin, her dear friends Barry Crafts and his late wife Helen as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also the sister of the late Francis Glavin and James Glavine and sister-in-law of the late Mary Glavine. NUTTALL – Of Chelmsford, formerly of Centerville, Oct. 23, Margaret F. (Glavine) Nuttall. Funeral Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9:45 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Mary’s Church, Chelmsford at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1 – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VNA of Middlesex East and Visiting Nurse Hospice, 607 North Ave., Suite 17, Wakefield, MA 01880. Burial in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
