Obituary for Mabel Zammuto
Mabel (Gillis) Zammuto, age 100, wife of the late Francis A. Zammuto died Monday at her home in Billerica, MA
She was born in Nova Scotia Canada, June 24, 1919 a daughter of the late Donald and Christine (Gillis) Gillis and lived in Arlington before moving to Billerica in 1980.
Mrs. Zammuto was employed taking care of Special Needs Children for the Delta Project in Cambridge and enjoyed spending time with her large family.
She is survived by eight sons, Carl Zammuto of Billerica,
Walter Zammuto of Cambridge, Kenny Zammuto of VT, Errol Zammuto of Hopkinton, Paul Zammuto of Chelmsford, Dave Zammuto, Dan Zammuto and Michael Zammuto all of Billerica as well as 25 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Alfonse and Stephen Zammuto and sister of the late James, Mary, Jessie, Florence, Agnes, Anne and Margaret.
Funeral Friday from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. followed by a Graveside Service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 70 Medford St. Arlington, MA at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Thursday from 4 – 7 p.m.
