Louise T. (Lyons) Altobelli, age 89, beloved wife of the late Frank A. Altobelli Sr. died Wednesday at Benchmark Senior Living in Billerica after a period of declining health.
She was born in Waltham a daughter of the late George A. and Dolores H. (Tremblay) Lyons and lived in Billerica for 38 years before moving to Wareham for a period of 6 years and then to Hudson, NH before returning to Billerica.
Louise worked for the Town of Billerica in the Accountants Office for 10 years retiring in 1997 and also worked at J. P. O’Connor Hardware for 10 years. She was a former member of the St. Theresa Women’s group.
She is survived by one son, Frank Altobelli Jr. and his wife Colleen of Billerica; three daughters, Donna Jakubowicz and her husband Larry of Clinton, Dianne Diaz and her husband Stephen of Billerica and Darlene Fitzpatrick of Nashua, NH; one sister, Dolores Galeota and her husband Anthony of Bedford, NH as well as 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Louise was the grandmother of the late Frank A. Altobelli and sister of the late Theresa Harris, Annette Upton and George A. Lyons Jr.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Jan. 22, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1 – 4 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, Jan. 23, at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
