Obituary for Louis S. Socha
Louis S. Socha – Age 89, husband of the late Tessie C. Socha, died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 at Saints Medical Center in Lowell, MA. He was born in Adams, MA, August 19, 1922, the son of the late Joseph and Bronislawa Socha and lived in Pittsfield for many years before moving to Billerica 14 months ago. Mr. Socha served in the Army during WW II. He was employed as a Precision Machinist for General Electric having worked at the Pittsfield plant for over 40 years. He also was a weekly communicant at Holy Family Church and called everyone his “Pal”. Mr. Socha is survived by his son, Louis Socha Jr. of Painted Post, NY; his daughters, Marianne Elliott of Plymouth and Gerianne Warner of Billerica; his brothers, John Socha of Adams and Stanley Socha of Chapel Hill, NC; grandfather of Michael and Michelle Socha, Paulette Elliott, Ray Warner III and Christopher Warner; great grandfather of Tyler Warner. Mr. Socha was the brother of the late Frank, Walter, and Stephen Socha, Judy Dwileski and Helen Wrzochalski, and grandfather of the late Patrick Elliott. He will be truly missed and forever loved by his family, friends and caregivers. SOCHA – Of Billerica, formerly of Pittsfield, Oct. 15, Louis S. Socha, Funeral Thursday Oct. 20, from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent De Paul, c/o St. Theresa Church, One Grace Ave., Billerica, MA 01821. Burial will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, Wisdom Way in Greenfield.
