Lona K. Demers – Age 71, died peacefully Wednesday, March 6 at the Northwood Nursing Home in Lowell.
She was born in Lowell, March 3, 1953, a daughter of the late Joseph and Lona R. (Mueller) Lamoureux and was a resident of Billerica for 40 years before moving to Lowell.
Lona was employed as a Bus Driver for Fiore Bus Company before her retirement.
She is survived by her children, Lona Derochers and Matthew Demers of Lowell and Mark Demers of Dracut; her brother, Karl Lamoureux of Hanover, her sister Laurie Davis of MO and her five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Rena, Tedra, Paula, Marc, Rosemary and Earl Lamoureux.
A Celebration of Lona’s life will be held Friday, March 15 at the Billerica Lodge of Elks, 14 Webb Brook Rd., Billerica from 11-3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to help people with Intellectual Disabilities at www.thearc.org
