Obituary for Linda D. Ryan
Linda D. Ryan – Age 60, died unexpectedly Monday at the Lahey Hospital.
She was born in Somerville, February 11, 1961, a daughter of Shirley L. (Sharpe) Thornton of Chelmsford and the late Charles E. Thornton Jr. and lived in Somerville before moving to Billerica 50 years ago.

A loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother that cared deeply for everyone who had the pleasure of being a part of her life. With an infectious smile that could light up the world and a heart made of gold; she always made everyone around her feel loved. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Linda. Her greatest happiness was her children and granddaughters. She loved the outdoors. Specifically, the summer and fall spending time at the beach, gardening and playing her favorite game corn hole. Linda will forever be remembered as a loving mother and “Nana”.

Linda is survived by her children, Jessica Ryan of Tewksbury, Kaitlyn Edwards and husband, Richard Edwards Jr. of Lowell, Daniel Ryan Jr. of Londonderry, NH along with their father, Daniel Ryan Sr. She leaves behind her brother, Robert Thornton of FL and her sisters, Elizabeth Llewellyn of FL, Joan Thornton-Bates of NC, Lisa Hannon of Billerica and the late Carol Thornton. She will be greatly missed by her granddaughters, Julia Ronan and Hailiegh Ryan, her lifelong best friend, Kelly Kling, and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 8 at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 12 Noon.
