Obituary for Leroy J. Serrats
GLOUCESTER- LeRoy J. Serrats, age 56, died unexpectedly Friday December 26t at his home. He was born in Falmouth, MA, Oct 21 1958, son of Ronald and Claire Serrats, of Florida. Mr. Serrats was a lifelong resident of Lowell before moving to Gloucester, MA. Leroy served in the United States Air Force for 5 years as a Security Policeman. As a hobby, he repaired Harley motorcycles and was a motorcycle enthusiast, He also coached for several youth baseball teams in Lowell. He also was a fund raiser for several organizations. Mr. Serrats was also a life time member of the D.A.V. Besides his parents, Ronald and Claire Serrats, he is survived by his 3 children, Travis Cordua of Oregon, Heather (Serrats) Donovan and Kyle Serrats, sister Kathleen Derochers of MA, brother Ronald Serrats of Texas, sisters Colleen Dinardi and Kim Lachance of New Hampshire, as well as his only grandson, Kolin Donovan of Lowell, MA. He was the beloved uncle to Christina (Derochers) Bennison, Michael Derochers, Daniel Derochers, Patrick, Ryan, and Danielle Serrats, Amanda Levesque, Makayla and Keria Lachance and Anthony Dinardi.
