Obituary for Leonard H. Adams
BILLERICA – Leonard H. Adams, age 69, died Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital in Bedford after strongly fighting through some serious health conditions for quite some time.
He was born in Lowell, August 3, 1952. The son of Theresa L. (Boulanger) Adams of Worcester and the late Roger G. Adams. Leonard lived in Pennsylvania before moving back to Massachusetts in 2013.
Prior to his retirement Leonard spent his career in the US Army and was well known for being a proud veteran and his love for a Dunkin’s Iced Coffee.
He is survived by his daughter, Evelyn May Adams of Billerica; two sons, Keith Adams of Lowell and William Adams of PA; one brother, Dennis Adams; his former wife Colleen Rooney; daughter in law Melissa Gagne as well as six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter Serenity Renee Adams. He was the brother of the late Skipper Adams.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday February 27, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1 – 4 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, February 28, at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Ave., Bourne, MA at 11:15 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Disabled American Veterans in honor of Leonard at Disabled American Veterans
