
Leona A. (Clark) Carpenito, age 91, beloved wife of the late John D. Carpenito died Monday, March 31, at Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus after a period of declining health.
She was born in Medford, November 3, 1933 the daughter of the late Roland R. and Ida H. (Hutchinson) Clark and was a longtime Billerica resident before moving to Shapleigh, ME and most recently back to Billerica.
Leona enjoyed watching NASCAR and women's basketball as well as spending time on Facebook but her true joy came from being with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen Carpenito of Billerica and Cindy O’Grady and her husband James of Billerica; four sons, John Carpenito Jr., Al Carpenito and his wife Christina of Billerica, Dennis Carpenito and his wife Nancy of New Boston NH and William Carpenito and his wife Suzanne of Windermere, FL; one sister Kay Wood of Palm Harbor, FL as well as ten grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Andrew J. Shea and sister of the late Jean D’Agostino, Raymond Clark and Donald Clark.
It being her request all services will be held privately and at the convenience of her family.
