Leo Paul Anthony, age 69, died Monday, July 10, peacefully at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in Malden, October 30, 1953 a son of the late John C. and Roberta J. (Moore) Anthony and lived in Malden before moving to Billerica in 1984.
Leo graduated from Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School in 1971 and went on to be a master mechanic and have a career as a construction equipment salesman with Ingersoll-Rand, Volvo and several other local companies. In his spare time he enjoyed being with his family, especially time with his grandchildren, spending time up at the cottage, boating on Lake Winnipesaukee, Bike Week in Laconia and working with his friends at Nocella Racing.
He is survived by his daughter, Lauren Walsh and her husband Bob of Billerica; his son, Joe Anthony and his wife Sheryl of Littleton; his former wife Diane Gillis of Reading, brother John Anthony of Melbourne, FL; sisters, Leah Connell of Billerica, Roberta Barrett of Billerica and Lisa Anthony of Derry, NH; six grandchildren, Elliot, Maddox, Bobby, Logan, Jordan and Finn as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of his family. Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Days at www.mygooddays.org
