Obituary for Kurt E. Mathias
Kurt E. Mathias – Age 94, beloved husband of Janice A. (Savani) Mathias died Wednesday at their home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Pasewalk, Germany, May 11, 1926, a son of the late Siegfried and Auguste (Ladwig) Mathias and lived in Germany and Acton before moving to Billerica over 30 years ago.
Kurt proudly served in the U.S. Army during WW II.
He was employed as an Electronics Technician for Data Instruments prior to his retirement.
Besides his wife, Kurt is survived by his daughters, Sheila Servizio of Billerica, Janessa Bielawski of Hudson, NH and Ursula Cargill of TX; his sons, Peter Mathias of Lawrence and Tony Roberts of Billerica and is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held Monday, June 29 at St. Mary Church, 796 Boston Rd., Billerica. Face Masks will be required. Memorial contributions may be made to Lahey Health at Home.
