Obituary for Kim M. Murphy
BILLERICA – Kim M. Murphy, age 53, died Monday at her home surrounded by her family after a long illness. She was born in Cambridge, August 21, 1960, a daughter of James J. Sr. and Margaret A. (McCarthy) Murphy of Billerica and she lived in Cambridge prior to moving to Billerica in 1968. Ms. Murphy was a member of the American Society of Radiology and worked as an X-ray Technician at Lexington Health Stop and most recently for Merrimack Valley Orthopedic Associates. She was a Town Meeting member in Billerica for several years, a member of the Marine Corps JROTC while at Billerica Memorial High School as well as a member of the NRA. Besides her parent she is survived by three brothers, James Murphy Jr. and his wife Kelly Jo of Billerica, Sean Murphy and his wife Kelly of Londonderry, NH and Colin Murphy and his wife Melissa of Billerica; five nieces and nephews, Caitlin, Sean Jr., Eoin, Aibhlin and Delia Murphy as well as her loving companion Peter Rosenquist. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 3 – 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday at St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to Merrimack Valley Hospice, 360 Merrimack St., BLDG 9, Lawrence, MA 01843 or to the Lowell General Hospital Cancer Center, 295 Varnum Ave., Lowell, MA 01854 Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
