Kenneth P. Kaduboski, Jr. was born on the Fourth of July 1964, and even his arrival showed the grit that would follow him throughout his life. While his parents were enjoying a day of camping with family, Kenny decided — without any warning — that it was time. They packed up quickly, left New Hampshire behind, and drove back to Cambridge, MA, so he could be born. From the very beginning, he came into the world on his own terms, with a toughness and determination that never left him.
Kenny grew up in Billerica, MA, and graduated from Billerica Memorial High School in 1983. He went on to attend Middlesex Community College but soon realized he belonged in the autobody world — real work, hands-on work. Kenny was a tough, down-and-dirty auto body man who took pride in doing the job right.
Kenny always had the drive to build something of his own, so he started a small shop in the backyard of his mother, Marion Kaduboski (Robichaud)’s home, and with support from his late father, Kenneth Kaduboski Sr. After several years, he moved the business to Lowell, MA, where he ran Ken’s Autobody successfully for nearly 30 years.
His shop became a gathering place where many of his childhood friends, new friends, and loyal customers would stop by — not just for repairs, but also to see Kenny, catch up, or just hang out. Kenny had a way of collecting people; he had countless friends, with endless funny stories, and especially enjoyed the company of friends like Jimmy C, Dan P, Eric A, Tim S, John G, and Chris and Steve L. In 1996, Kenny reconnected with Beth, a high school friend, and before long, they were married. They built their life together in Pepperell, MA, where they lived for 26 years. In 2003, they welcomed their son, Samuel Kaduboski —the happiest day of Kenny’s life—words could never describe the love he had for Sammy, which stayed with him every day until his untimely yet peaceful death. Kenny loved Sam more than anything; the two were inseparable. He was a dedicated and proud father who shared his two favorite things in the world with him: camping and boating. Oh, and fishing-they loved fishing together.
Kenny loved boating, he would invite anyone to join him and his family on the boat at Lake Sunapee — “the more the merrier” was truly his motto. Just ask Sam’s friends, Evan, Mason, and Gordon, who would call at the last minute to see if they could come along; Kenny would already have the boat packed and ready, no hesitation, always happy to make room for one more. — and he especially loved taking everyone tubing, whipping them around the water until someone finally fell off, laughing hysterically before he swung around to pick them up. Some of his happiest days were the long ones spent on the lake with his brother Dan, his sister-in-law, Rachelle, and his nephew Eric. And some of the very best times were with the West family — Josh, Jenny, Erin, Josh Jr., Rosemary, and Hurricane Jack, and the Edmiston family — Beth’s sister, Kathleen, brother-in-law (late) Mike, nephew, Stephen, niece, Emily, and brother-in-law Bobby. Memories that will last forever.
We were all lucky to have Kenny in our lives, and he was lucky to have a wide circle of friends. Kenny will be incredibly and deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Kenny’s life at a Memorial Visitation at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 2 PM to 5 PM. A future memorial service will be held in late June at Lake Sunapee.
