Obituary for Kathleen P. Jordan
Kathleen P. Jordan Animal rescuer and Massage Therapist CANTON, GA – Kathleen P. Jordan, age 48, died unexpectedly Thursday at her home. She was born in Pittsfield, MA, Nov 13, 1964 a daughter of Harry Jordan of Coconut Creek, FL and Joan (Paine) Jordan of Billerica and was a longtime Billerica resident before moving to Seattle and more recently Canton, GA. Ms. Jordan was a graduate of Billerica Memorial High School class of 1982 where she ran track and participated in the high jump. She helped set a state record in the hurdle relay with her friends, Karen, Kathy H. and Cindy. She participated in the high jump with her good friend Le-An. After high school she attended UMASS Amherst on an athletic scholarship, studied abroad in Salamanica, Spain for a semester and graduated with a degree in Journalism and Spanish. Ms. Jordan taught in the Lawrence Public School system before moving to Seattle to work for the newly established Starbucks then eventually moving to Canton, Georgia to pursue a degree in Chiropractics. Kathy eventually settled on a career in Massage Therapy and worked for the Herb Shop and Healing Center providing natural pain relief for her customers. Besides her parents she is survived by one sister, Carole Binder and her husband Richard of Andover; two brothers, John P. Jordan of Cape Coral, FL and Michael Jordan of Manchester, NH; two nephews Nicholas and Matthew Binder as well as many dear friends locally and from everywhere she traveled. JORDAN – Of Canton, GA, formerly of Seattle and Billerica, unexpectedly Feb. 7, Kathleen P. Jordan. Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4 – 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the United States, Dept HACEE110501001, 2100 L Street NW, Washington, DC 20037. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica
