Kathleen M. Oakley – age 75, wife of the late James E. Oakley died peacefully Sunday, January 18 at her home with her family at her side.
Kathleen was born in Woburn, MA February 1, 1950 a daughter of the late Timothy and Helen (Grimes) O’Mahoney. She was raised in Billerica and later lived in Chelmsford and Largo, Florida and recently moved back to Billerica five years ago.
She was employed as a Bookkeeper for Pinellas County, Florida and retired 13 years ago.
Kathleen is survived by her children, Timothy Perry and his wife Carol of Billerica, Kerry Gladney and her husband Ron of Palm Harbor, FL, Richard Ploof and his wife Elizabeth of NJ, James Stock and his wife Daphne of NC, Jamie Oakley of Largo, FL and the late Joseph Oakley. Her sisters, Gerry O’Mahoney of ME, Patricia O’Mahoney of Shirley and Maureen MacKay of Nashua and the late Helen Moore. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kallie Ploof of Boston, Bryan Ploof and Courttney Clee of NH, Casey Bradford of Spring Hill, FL, Arianna Dalstrom of Largo, FL, Timothy Hagen of Southborough and Nicole Hagen, Suad Hagen, Dylan Hagen and Josh Hagen all of Billerica and is also survived by many great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 21 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd. at 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org
