Kathleen M. Hohol, “Kathy”, age 63, beloved sister of Teresa (“Terry”) Hohol O’Donnell, sister-in-law of Patrick Alan O’Donnell (deceased) and Aunt of Kelly Marie O’Donnell and Tracy Alana O’Donnell, passed away unexpectedly this March at her home on Cape Cod, MA.
Kathy was born in Springfield, MA, the daughter of Marion Henry Hohol and Lena Ann Hohol of Chicopee, and was raised in Chicopee, along with her sister Teresa, before moving to Cape Cod in 1983.
Kathy was a graduate of Chicopee High School class of 1979, and from the Springfield Technical Community College (Cum Laude) with an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy in 1981. Throughout her career, she practiced as a Certified and Licensed Respiratory Therapist at hospitals, rehabs, and long-term care facilities throughout Massachusetts, including Our Lady of Providence, Falmouth Hospital, Cape Cod Hospital, Forest Manor, the Brockton VA Medical Center, Tobey Hospital, and Mediplex Bristol Rehab.
Although partial disability ended her full-time career, Kathy remained positive and committed to the care of others. She worked parttime providing home respiratory care and volunteered many hours as a professional floral arranger, most notably preparing displays for the Cape Cod Glass Museum. When able, she loved line, ballroom, square and contra dancing, and was an active participant in many dance clubs.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 8th, at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 AM, followed by committal at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica.
