Kathleen M. Beauchemin – age 71, died peacefully Sunday, May 24 at the Massachusetts General Hospital with her family by her side.
She was born Bronxville, NY, December 15, 1954, a daughter of the late Herman J. and Mary (Ficalora) Madaus and was raised in Yonkers, NY and later made her home in Bedford and Billerica before moving to Hudson, NH in 2017.
Kathleen proudly served in the United States Air Force. Her service gave her the opportunity to travel and experience new places.
Kathleen was employed as the Assistant to the Treasurer for the Town of Bedford for 25 years prior to her retirement, where she was known for her dedication, professionalism and kindness to those around her.
More than anything, Kathleen cherished time spent with family and friends. She loved to make people feel welcome and cared for, whether through heartfelt conversations, hosting family gatherings, or simply spending time together. She loved yoga, watching movies, sleepovers and girls nights with loved ones, and took great joy in entertaining. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, and her beloved grand puppies, Daisy, Logan and Shelby, who brought her joy.
She is survived by her children, Josh Jones of Hudson, MA and Jessie Jones of Rockport; her brother, Les Madaus of NY and her beloved grandchildren, Harvey and Calvin Jones. She was the former wife of George Jones, and is also survived by Peter Beauchemin of Hudson, NH.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 2-5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Kathleen’s name to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, www.lymphoma.org
