June Marie (Faria) DiGiovanni, 68, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2022 at her home surrounded by the love of her family, after a 2 ½ year courageous battle with cancer.
June was born on June 21, 1954 in Cambridge and was raised in North Billerica and graduated from BMHS in 1972. June was the former wife of Edward DiGiovanni, Jr. She was a parishioner of Saint Theresa's Church and was an active member of their Woman's Club. Having always loved to be in the presence of children, June spent many years as a childcare provider then later went on to have a 30 year career at Union Installations as the Office Manager.
June enjoyed traveling, long days at the beach and was always learning a new craft. But mostly, June enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
June was born to Mary (Sherwood) Faria and the late Robert Faria of Billerica. She is the loving mother to Jill Glencross, her husband Shane of Amesbury and Edward DiGiovanni of Fitchburg. June adored her three grandchildren, Jackalyn and Gavin Glencross of Amesbury and Jaydalyn DiGiovanni of Colebrook NH. She was also survived by her siblings, Barbarajo Joyce and her husband Edmund of Tyngsboro, Robert Faria, Jr of York ME, Stacy Mountain and her husband Wayne of Kentucky, as well as Sheryl Germain and her late husband Ronald. She was predeceased by her brother Dennis Faria of Chelmsford. She also leaves her sister in law Marie Conroy and her husband Brian of Dracut as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday, Nov. 27 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1-4 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Monday at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, E. Chelmsford.
