
Obituary for Judith A. McDevitt
Judith A. McDevitt – Age 67, beloved wife of Robert E. McDevitt died Thursday at the New England Medical Center in Boston. She was born in Malden, September 27, 1944, the daughter of the late Chester J. and Mary S. (Allin) Zak and lived in Melrose for 36 years before moving to Billerica six years ago. Mrs. McDevitt was employed for 35 years at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital having retired as the Vice President of Nursing. She later was employed as the Director of Habit Opco. Besides her husband, Mrs. McDevitt is survived by her daughter, Mary Duggan and her husband Joseph of Billerica; her son, Charles McDevitt and his wife Tara of Billerica; her brother, Chester Zak of CT; her sisters, Marie Cass of OR and Linda Bill of NC; her aunt, Edna Allin of Stoneham and is also survived by 8 grandchildren. Mrs. McDevitt was the mother of the late Christina McDevitt and sister of the late John Zak. McDevitt – Of Billerica, Sept. 29, Judith A. (Zak) McDevitt. Funeral Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOMEK, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hallmark Health Hematology and Oncology Center, 585 Lebanon St., Melrose, MA 02176 c/o Development office in Memory of Judith A. McDevitt. Burial in Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
