Judith Ann Crosbie, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27th, 2025 at the age of 66, surrounded by her children and loved ones.
Born on November 12th, 1958 in Melrose MA, Judith lived a life rooted in care, creativity, and fierce devotion to her family.
In her early years, Judy worked in several animal clinics before discovering both her passion and the love of her life at Stoneham Zoo. She later proudly owned and operated Crosbie’s Pet Center, a true haven for animals of all kinds. Much like her shop, her home radiated warmth, laughter, and a joyful presence. Her heart belonged to the little red house under the hill in Billerica, MA, a place she knew was home the moment she saw it, and which remained the heart of the family ever since.
Judith shared a lifelong love with her late husband, Mark B. Crosbie. Together, they built a life rich with traditions, planting and nurturing flowers, tending to vegetable gardens, and creating a home filled with care and intention. That love and spirit live on in their children and grandchildren, who now carry her legacy forward.
She is survived by her daughters Jennifer Hodgkins of Dexter, MI; Diana Rosina of Tyngsboro, MA; and Blair Crosbie of Manor, TX; her cherished grandchildren Liam and Lucas Hodgkins, and Isabella and Noah Rosina; her loving mother Janet Strickland; siblings John T Strickland and Darlene Strickland ; and many dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Cafe Escadrille in Burlington MA at 11AM on August 9th, 2025, where family and friends are invited to honor her memory.
We ask to please wear white to honor Judy’s light.
