Joyce L (Jenkins) Swanson, age 84, beloved companion of Robert L. Vestute died Thursday, July 26, at their home with her family by her side.
She was born in Lowell, July 8, 1940 a daughter of the late Hubert Allen Jenkins and Lillian (Taylor) Jenkins and has been a lifelong Billerica resident.
Besides her companion Joyce is survived by one daughter, Kathy Lison and her husband Mark of Fitchburg; three sons, Allan Swanson and his wife Lori of Billerica, Daniel Swanson and his wife Mellissa of Leominster and David Swanson and his wife Coral of Billerica as well as eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Dorothy McDewell, Marie Carlson, Betty Vanderheide, Joan Lee, Allen, Warren and Edward Jenkins.
It being her wish there will be no visiting hours. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, July 30, at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
