Obituary for Joseph W. Tehan Jr.
BILLERICA – Joseph W. Tehan Jr., age 80, beloved husband of 58 years to the late Barbara (Blakely) Tehan died Wednesday at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born in Brighton, June 17, 1937 a son of the late Joseph and Mildred (Kelly) Tehan and lived in Medford before moving to Billerica in 1971.
Mr. Tehan served in the US Navy and worked in Electronics Maintenance for the former Melotone and Kiddie Time and was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks for over 40 years.
In his spare time he enjoyed target shooting and was an avid golfer having been a founding member of the Country Club of Billerica was a past club champion and had multiple holes in one over his golf career.
He is survived by one daughter, Debra Danehy and her husband Alan of Billerica; one son, Jeffrey Tehan of Salem, MA; one daughter-in-law Donna Tehan of Salem, MA; two sisters, Anne Marie Youngclaus of Weymouth and Marilyn Ferlazzo of Waltham; one brother Michael Tehan of SC as well as five grandchildren, Marc Tehan, Steven and Jessica Danehy and Courtney and Connor Tehan and was known as papa to many others. He was the brother of the late Thomas, Gerald and John Tehan.

Tehan Jr. Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and Friends respectfully invited.
